WHY A BESPOKE WEDDING GOWN?

WHY A BESPOKE GOWN?

With a Bespoke gown, whether embroideries or work of art lace, satin or silk look , soft or structured style, you will be the bride who makes a statement.

Well here’s the thing…why not create that ‘one dress’ to perfectly fit the girl who is going to wear it. The obvious difference would of course be the quality of the finished products. You can create your very own look , select your fabrics, decide on little pretty details, choose your own embroidered flowers and patterns. but you just need to make sure you are working with a professional and expert team, let them help you with selecting the most flattering shape and style for your body type. The advantage of making a bespoke gown is that almost everything is possible. You can ask to look taller and create the design that add illusion extra legs hight, or have a detachable train or a two piece design. Don’t worry if you are not a perfect 10, a bespoke gown can make nearly all brides look like they fit perfectly.

The best bit is that you will know what it is going to look like as a finished design, because you have chosen all your favourite pieces. We always aim to create the perfect gown, there will be honest advice if your ideas are not going to look quite right, or could be improved one way or another. If you have been in bridal stores trying on samples that don’t perfectly fit and are trying to imagine what if it would look like if it clung to you like a glove; and then blamed your body or yourself ? Well, we promise you that it is not you , it is the dress that you tried on.

A bespoke gown is a timeless piece that you will treasure forever.

Reblog – ASCOT by beljour : 2015 bridal lookbook

Behind the scene written by Shyrell of Enchanté Studios and how they describe the collection ,

We first fallen in love with Beljour’s wedding gown from a bridal shoot we did earlier in the summer. Apart from their gown’s stunning lace and bead details, we were impressed at the carefree movement our bride can make due to her gown’s light material. We were able to move from location to the next creating lots of images for our client.

We then met Shari, the founder of Ascot by Beljour and found out she was planning to launch her first bridal lookbook for which she commissioned us for the job. Together we set out to plan the moodboard and the overall direction of the shoot. Shari envisioned bright and airy feel to her lookbook to represent the new collection she was working on at the time. We went around town sourcing all the set and styling needed for the shoot. It was a successful session and these images turned out to be some of my favourite editorial session to date 🙂

If you are a bride-to-be and is looking for wedding gowns in the UAE, do check Ascot by Beljour. The lookbok below are ready to wear collection, but Beljour’s true talent are with their bespoke line where every element of your wedding gown represents your very own style and personality.

A little bit of history about white wedding dresses

The wedding dress of Queen Victoria was worn by Victoria, Queen of the United Kingdom, at her wedding to Prince Albert of Saxe-Coburg and Gothaon 10 February 1840. She selected a white dress, which was considered an unusual choice at a time when colours were more usual, made from heavy silk satin. The Honiton lace used for her wedding dress proved an important boost to Devon lace-making. Queen Victoria has been credited with starting the tradition of white weddings and white bridal gowns, although she was not the first royal to be married in white.

Color, style and ceremonial importance of the gown can depend on the religion and culture of the wedding participants. In Western cultures, brides often choose a white wedding dress, which was made popular by Queen Victoria in the 19th century. In eastern cultures, brides often choose red to symbolize auspiciousness.

BELJOUR custom designed veil and hair piece completed our beautiful bride stunning look!

Our beautiful bride Sophia wedding film was created by “Hitched in Dubai” and was featured at my lovely wedding blog today !
Veil & Hair piece was deigned and created in our design studio ! She had her beautiful dress bought from the UK and we helped with required adjustment and additional designs on the dress to make her more comfortable. Sophia and Mark do look absolutely stunning on their big day!

TIPS

If you do opt for a handcrafted gown, be sure to pay equal attention to your accessories. The wrong ones can detract from the special wedding dress & veil that you invested so much of yourself into creating. Timeless pieces like bridal jewellery sets with a cultured pearl bracelet, necklace, and pair of earrings are one lovely idea. Brides who like to mix the classic with the contemporary can layer and stack some bold and fun crystal bracelets in with the cultured pearl bridal bracelet.
